Red Garrafeira

Casa de Saima Garrafeira is created exclusively from the Baga variety, which comes from very old vines (about 80 years old) planted in sandy-clay soils.

The grapes are fermented in small open "lagares", with periodic submersion of the skin aiming at greater extraction of colour and useful compounds. This wine ages for 24 months in oak barrels and 1 year in bottle.

It is an elegant and delicate wine with notes of ripe red fruits of high refinement. Soft and velvety with very civilized tannins, it has a long, complete and authentic finish in accordance with its noble tradition.
